They coexist - all believe that the messiah will come. The idea that catastrophe will proceed the events. A period in which the messiah negates the purpose of the law. Provides a permanent potential - structure for a variety of movements. A group who insisted to be different in a regimented society. At the time of the muslim conquest was already an advanced civilization. Mentions father of jesus as a jewish messiah. Some argue that this is just a claim of jewish descent. Prohibited divorce - many other similar rules to the sadducees and pharisees. Historians argue over the names (presented on slides) But all seem to be linked to god and or a prophet. Example of the messianic practices that differ from the rabbis.
