Cross section of skeletal muscle - tendon attached to bone. Only 1 nuclei - line organs & blood vessels to coordinate functions throughout cell. *sarcomeres only in striated & cardiac muscle fibers. Neuromuscular junction - motor neuron to skeletal muscle. 3- na+ influx through activated nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nach) Calcium regulated at troponin located on actin-containing w/ striations. Voluntary contraction via axons terminals of somatic nervous system. Slow to fast contraction no rhythmic contraction/ pacemaker. Openings- connect inside & outside to enter cell. Releasing ach & binding of ach to post-synaptic.
