Developmental language skills - 5 to 6 years old
-Tells several things about an object
-Sequences a story from memory
-Uses possessives, negatives, irregular plurals, conjunctions, and complex sentences

-Uses and understands some meta-linguistics (connects words with writing)
-Responds to three unrelated commands
Preschool competency 4 - communication using resources of language
To show interest in communication:
-Starts and maintains conversation
-Adheres to subject of a conversation
-Imitates reading and writing behaviours

To understand a message (receptive language)
