As you get older, your strategies get better and more complex. Learning strategies = part of student-centered learning. Students should choose the most appropriate for them. Use learning strategies more efficiently when they are informed about the learning strategies they use. Facilitate learning, bridge variety of learning levels in a classroom. Quiz 1 - d is the answer. Students often have difficulty separating important from trivial. So, identify key concept, ask focused questions, write key concepts, etc. Helps learners pay attention to and encode information. Forming links and relationships to old knowledge. Encourages students to think about what they already know. Students should read the textbook and tie material to real life/old info. Students do better when they elaborate on course material.
