Very offensive to portray a black person as black face but there isn"t much support of white people pretending to be asian. Yellow face: white person depicting an asian person the shape of the eyes, accents and costumes . Important distinction between silent period and talking period, as speech plays an important role in distinguishing a white character, from an asian character (faux accents) Accents are attached to the looks, rather than in a silent movie that must depict it strictly through visual looks. Asians are often depicted with high pitched voices movies are often directed towards the north american public. Often refer to asian people as oriental often speaking in weird/ offensive ways. There is always a high pitched voice attached.
