Document Summary
Feelings, emotions, and decisions: how the systems that make us feel things and the systems that allow us to make complex decisions are interconnected. How we go about a situation is directly related to how we feel about it. Executive functions: the planning and organization that precedes the performance of the movement. It also has to do with planning for the future, like imagining future scenarios: us humans have incredible capabilities to project the past into the future in order for us to imagine potential outcomes far away. They play a role in inhibiting inappropriate behaviours (e. g. like when you go to a friend"s house and their phone begins to ring we do not pick it up because we know it is inappropriate) They are what enable us to change strategies for instance, allowing us to say/distinguish that something isn"t working anymore (e. g. gambling)
