Document Summary

People think that they are not quite as overweight as they really tare. Greater weight leads to insular resistance, and diabetes soon follows. Risks: when we are overweight, we are also more sedentary. The perception of how much it is going up is not exactly parallel to reality. Diabetes is increasing as well, pretty parallel to the increase in weight. There is no one single solution to this problem. We also have psychologists and naturopaths recommending diets. The imagination diet: think of something that you would like to eat. The proponents of this say that just thinking about them is enough to just curb your appetite. Chew on ice: when you get ice into your stomach, the ice would melt. The heat input (energy) comes from the body. If we are going to use up energy stores to melt this ice, we are going to be using up some calories and losing weight.
