This article is brief but concise about how much time americans spend on consuming food. In the article, maggie states that nearly half of all americans eat their meals away from home or on the go. On top of that, she states that a staggering 40% of our food budget is spent on eating food on the go (2). Before reading this article, i would have assumed that americans (and similarly us) spent a large portion of our food budget on fast-food but i had never realized it was 40%.
