Document Summary

They are known to have a leader, zeus, who dictates what the gods can and cannot do and therefore controls humans as well. Gods are also seen to have both a human and animal form that humans use as a representation in shrines and objects dedicated to each god. These gods are immortal and hold all the power over humans because each god controls a different aspect of life. Due to the fact that the gods control all aspects of life, leads into the greek view of human. Human is seen to greeks as those who are mortal, doomed to die, are able to walk the earth freely and are called to worship the gods. By worshiping the gods, humans are asking to have a better life because the quality of crops, weather etc are all controlled by the gods. How greeks see order and chaos are not the same way we see these two opposites.
