Most offenders are eligible for release at some point before the end of their sentences. Parole( including the role of the parole board) = conditional release. The parole officer is csc"s key link with supervised offenders in the community and is crucial to managing offender risk. Pos write reports on the progress of each offender and discuss cases that require additional attention to their supervisors. Support network, social, familial, structure/routine and education. Conditional release timeline (unescorted temporary absence, escorted temporary absence, day parole, full parole) Other types of release - statutory release, earned remission, long- term supervision, community-based residential facilities.
