Document Summary

Data collected from the survey reveals the possibility of gaps in knowledge when it comes to diversity. For example, figure 1 chart shows that one individual feels neutral towards the importance of diversity in the workplace. This choice of answer leads to several hypotheses. First, an individual may not believe that actual changes can be made at the workplace. Second, there may be resistance to the questionnaire altogether. Diversity training" can create apprehension amongst employees (gassam, 2019). The study found that white men in particular, fear that diversity training will turn into anti-white discrimination (gassma, 2019). Third, it may indicate a lack of knowledge or lack of personal experience related to the topic. Moreover, figure 2 chart indicated that 31. 3 % of participants were not sure if their coworkers from all cultural backgrounds feel respected and included in the organization. Perhaps it is the case because the topic of diversity and inclusion is not discussed in the organization.
