Document Summary

Ha distributing, inc. is a mail order business which sells hearing aids to the individual consumer. The company offers a wide variety of hearing aids produced by a number of different manufacturers. The employees in the shipping department are responsible for filling orders and packaging them for shipment. If a particular hearing aid is out of stock, employees are to record key information about that order on a large, dry erase board. They are to write the model number, date of the order, and the number of aids back ordered on the board. If a particular model number is already on the board, the employees are simply to update the number of hearing aids on back order. The back order board includes headings for model number, date of order and quantity of aids on back order. The information on this board is used by management to determine how many hearing aids need to be ordered from the manufacturers.
