The author goes on saying that social psychology deals with question of social perception; such as: if a person acts violently, is it because that person is always violent or because something triggered that behavior. Another example given is: if a person fails on a test, did the person have a low ability or was the test very difficult. It is something called na ve psychology because we use attribution theory without realizing it. Person vs time vs entities; these 3 characteristics help us answer the questions. Where the entities are the event or object of interest. The author shows the pathway of different events with a 3d cube diagram (page 100). Consensus: change the original person with a general population. High consensus: most of the people agree with the original person. Low consensus: most of the people disagree with the original person.
