We have biological foundations for our personality traits. Diference in genetics, neuro chemistry and the central nervous system functioning cause personality differences. Variations in the autonomous nervous system response-traced to personality. Same between the two: wife"s, son"s and dog"s names, brands of beer drank and cigarettes used, jobs, hobbies, bad habits. These are suggestive of genetics rather than environment. The big five are in large part genetically inherited. Home and family in uence appear to be quite small. The home and family in uence are the shared experience. The majority of the factors were based on non-shared experience and genetics rather than a shared experience. Tuesday, march 1, 2016: the technique that looks for the location of speci c bits of dna on genes that might be associated with particular behaviours (for example, dopamine and extraversion) Extroversion vs introversion and stable vs unstable. Extroversion refers more towards the physical arousal.
