Sensation: the physiological process in which the sensory information is assembled for integration by the cns. Perception: the psychological process of interpreting sensory stimuli into useful information. Top down when the brain sends out impulses to the organs. Bottom up when the sense organs send impulses to the brain. Taste sensory input from taste receptors on our tongue to the brain. Hypothesis: flavour identification will be most accurate in the eyes open, nose open condition compared to all other conditions. When both eyes and nose were open and eyes open nose closed.
