Everyone has the same genotype which is a characteristic of what you are as a human being. Degree of how you express those genes vary. Higher numbers of junk dna = higher risk of disease. Leads to the development of a simple blood test to screen individuals for the presence of that specific gene. May lead to improved treatment, a cure or prevention. For some disorders, more than one gene may be responsible (cancer) Because of genetic mapping: we can identify blood test.
