Need high levels of participation, cooperation and collaboration. How different mental processes affect behavior in groups. People characterized by extroversion talk to think: comfortable sharing ideas merely for reaction. People characterized by introversion think to talk: fewer, measured words, prefer not to share until ideas fully formed. People with an intuitive style of perceiving the big picture: look for end product and anticipate it, use and trust their intuition. People with sensing style collect date: solve problems by collecting facts, may struggle to make decisions. Divergent thinkers want to express their views and broaden discussion, generation of options, free discussion, gathering diverse opinions. Convergent thinkers want to move toward conclusions, evaluation of options, summarization of key points, sorting of ideas into categories. Task roles sets direction: leader, questioner, facilitator, summarizer, evaluator. Initiator clarifies issues and information keeps group focused. Emotional intelligence: ability to access, manage and use one"s feelings in relationships.
