Rate of primary producion: the amount of energy that can be captured in a certain ime period. Gross primary producion: total amount that autotrophs can catch. Trophic level: the posiion on the food web that an organism occupies. Posiive relaionship between npp and annual actual evapotranspiraion (aet: warm and moist high aet and npp. Aet = amount of water that evaporates and transpires of a landscape. More on the west side because of the earth spinning. Botom-up controls: inluence the chemical and physical factors. Grazers can increase primary producion because it limits the amount of species that can grow in one area providing more space to grow. Can afect npp through: producivity, erosion control, nutrient cycling.
