Last week we discussed non-constitutional organizations.
Political dysfunction

- Many believe that US is quite divided, politically, deographially…
- Levels of discourse is really low. Donald trump has degraded the political discourses.
- Little acceptance of differences.
- Little tolerance
- No basic civility
- Related issues:
o 1.is the US really divided ? if so how? And why?
o 2.Is the American public really divided? Or is the politics? Are the substantive divisions,
such as it is is exacerbated by bias from the media?
o 3.does that necessarily lead to disfunction? Could it not be the case that even if people
in party can still be compromise in civility?
- Some people say that it is supposed to be like that, governments body are supposed to butt in.

- Republicans during the Obama’s adiistratio, ould ote agaist legislatios that Oaa
would be for, but initially republicans wanted. They would go against Obama just because of the
