Socrates is found guilty for corrupting the youth and not believing in the gods. More people voted for his death than for his guilt. Taken to be the first political philosopher. He has a voice in his head that told him not to do something. Socrates tries to distinguish himself by saying he does not seek victory but the truth when arguing. Everybody else in the world sees things the way they do. He is a political author, he talks about beauty, etc. Socrates believes you follow truth where it leads you. The biggest punishment for socrates is to be wrong. Plato"s real goal is to get us to learn a thing for ourselves. All the characters have an idea that everybody should see the world the way they do. :he talks about how his freed from sexual passion. His no longer a slave to mad passion. No longer be slaved by the animal part.
