Who the trainer will be, and how to train the trainers. Developing (or purchasing) trainer manual, participants" handouts or manual, role play, case, etc. Target population: apprentices who have successfully passed the gas fitters exam. Overall training objective/purpose: trainees will be able to examine a work project and with appropriate tools; measure, cut, thread, and install the piping according to standards outlined in the gas code. An activity at the beginning of training that engages the trainees. Allows trainees to become acquainted with other trainees making them more comfortable. It should be related to the topic of the training. Training programs that teach subject-matter experts how to design and deliver training programs. Trainee handout: agenda, objectives, ground rules, model/ diagram/job aid, exercises/activities: instructions, space to answer, space to take notes. Trainer manual: agenda, objectives, ground rules, write what to say (someone else could take the manual and train, answers to potential questions, exercises: instructions and answers, model, job aid.
