If a man walks into a clinic and suspects he has hiv and tells the people at the clinic that he is gay there will most likely be no further questions. Because as mentioned before infection through male homosexual sex is the most common way of transmission in canada. This makes sense to assume that this man received hiv through sex with another man but it may not be true.
