Anatomy = morphology : structure of the human body. Physiology: study of the function of the human body. Systemic approach : look at every system, from head to toe all at once, then all the muscles, etc. Bones, muscles, nerves, circulation to that specific region. Appendicular skeleton: white region of skeleton on diagram. Axial skeleton: head, thorax, vertebral column (yellow part of skeleton in diagram) Skeletal system: bones, ligaments on each side of the joint, cartilage, joints (movable and immovable) Muscular system (musculoskeletal): muscles, tendons, 3 types of muscles (smooth, cardiac, skeletal) . Circulatory : a) cardiovascular: arteries veins and capillaries b) lymphatic: tubes through the body with lymph nodes, part of our defensive mechanism.
