It is a body of philosophy that indicates how engineers should conduct themselves in their professional capacity. Ethics is the systematic analysis of behavioural choices that individuals or societies face. Ethics is the study of right or wrong, of obligations and rights, so that social and political goals are met. They are the basis of worldviews and guide behaviour. Morals: a person"s standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable for them to do. Choices provide alternative courses of actions that lead to different consequences and to different personalities. Ethics are a way to rationally reason our choices. Ethics is systematic analysis of human behaviour. Frameworks are not specific to cultural or geographic context. Avoids moral absolutism: morals are absolute, unchangeable and always true.
