Piaget and adaptation (important: assimilation: goes into your memory, what you already have (adaptation) to what you will have, accommodation: higher level of thinking. Preoperational stage: 2-7 yo: this builds off a natural evolution that comes from sensorimotor, sensorimotor needs to be established to go to the next step. Dual representation: example of how letters represent words, happens before even know alphabet, they know brand logos mean something else. Concrete operational: width and high are two concepts that work together. Still better at concrete things rather than mental. Formal operational: not every human being actually gets to this point, kindergarten doing hypothesis task: these children are taking chances! They are not afraid of being wrong: out of (cid:272)onte(cid:454)t s(cid:272)enarios: what if , these children will have a more reasonable answer. Propositional thought: can tell if something is logical or not.
