Shapes: visual elements to provide focal points & explain your content rectangles, circles &combined shapes to form a starburst can create 3-d shapes & add shadows, glows, warps & bevels can contain text. Available shapes: autoshapes, callouts, lines & connectors, freeform, text box, smartart & wordart. Autoshape gallery: contains shapes (stars, arrows, circles, triangles, rounded rectangles ) Add shape: select shape from autoshape gallery drag to slide. Draw perfectly round circles or squares: constrain shape by holding shift while dragging it. Draw same shape multiple times: right-click on shape select lock drawing mode. Callouts: bubbles & automatic text box used with clip art or photographs & provide additional information on a chart, graph, table or other object in presentation. Ex: callout could give specific information on a bar chart to indicate exact number of widgets sold. automatically contain a text box for dialog after shape is drawn.
