You have 2 type of hazard; safety hazard and health hazard: safety hazard. Material handling hazard: you can have muscles pain because of transporting material. Machine hazard: using machine can result in injuries. Energy hazard: energies like steam and electricity can cause injuries. Work practice hazard: if you do not follow the instructions and procedures you can end up with injuries b) health hazard (categorized in 4 factors) Physical hazard: pressure, temperature, vibration, heat, noise. Chemical hazard: chemical agents; dust, gas, mist, fume. There are 2 types of pressures; hyperbaric and hypobaric: hyperbaric: it is when the pressure is bigger than the regular atmosphere pressure. Ex: mining: hypobaric: it is when the pressure is smaller than the regular atmosphere pressure. Consequences of working in a high heat environment are fainting, stroke, exhaustion. Those kind of issues can affect construction or industrial workers. Consequences of working in a very cold environment are hypothermia, frostbite.
