Document Summary

Class will be cancelled for the 8th of december. How would you interpret it: discrimination based on ethnicity. There are no safe places from this type of behaviour: sometimes it is hidden from view, it can be seen in the police. Movie: two worlds colliding: first nations people were discovered to be left by the police out in a field in the winter, two of them were found dead. They were dropped off by the police by a power plant: saskatoon has the largest population of aboriginal people, a program exists to bring together the aboriginal youth and the police officers in. Saskatoon: the police admitted to leaving one of the men alone in the field in the cold (the one that survived), the police said that the man asked them to drop him off there. In each of these areas there is racial and gender conflict: rodney king. A white man filmed it, a black man rescued him.
