People of higher social class have better chances of surviving illness and have lower health risk. Poor people higher health risk because of risky jobs, malnutrition, low income housing etc Different times, culture, historical period will change the medical knowledge of the region. Ex: being fat was seen as good in middle age because you ate lots and showed you were wealthy. People experience and deal with disease differently across the world. Diet can be decision or decided for us because of low wages. Some of these are underpinned by social factors but often it is own decision. Human-environment: building high pollutant factories near low income housing neighbourhoods. So poor people are stuck in a neighbourhood that is polluted and has poor quality air/drinking water etc Stress: people in low income jobs are known to have more stressful jobs, stressful financial positions etc this makes it easier to become sick.
