Introduction to soc 1002: course objectives, assessments, keys to success. Society is a form of a community from social interactions. The stuff that people produce together. (in between) Sociology is the study of human behaviour through social perspectives. (individuals) Socialization: it is the key concept of sociology. Ongoing life of adopting social norms: racializaton: ongoing process of race that are produced, the (cid:858)social self(cid:859): (cid:862)me(cid:863)-society that lives in us -> social norms rules interaction version of us that society expect. Reflects the attitude of the generalized other. Particularly, it is the sense of group membership to a religion and the importance of this group membership as it. pertains to one"s self-concept. Religious identity is not necessarily the same as religiousness or religiosity. Family norms: a rule or standard of behavior expected of each member of a social group: ageism: prejudice or discrimination on the basis of a person"s age, ableism: prejudice or discrimination towards people with disabilities.
