School: if the school is older than we are, then it exists by consensus both prior and current; school is an example of institutionalization as well). Institutionalization is the act of implanting a convention or norm into society. Thomas theorem is the theory that if people think a situation is real, then its consequences are real as well. I(cid:374) other (cid:449)ords, people"s (cid:271)ehavior is determined by their subjective construction of reality rather than by objective reality (ex. A student might live up to their label, created by others, even though it initially was not part of their character).
