Any experience thought to be religiously significant for the one who lives in it. 3 modes: prophetic (islam/muhammad, mystical (buddhism/buddha, sacramental (hinduism, examples : Visions of god, after death, other world. Miracles people get sick, and miracle happens, they are okay after some days. Scholars tries to put some order and try to categorise them into types in order to help us better understand them. How do their religions experiences differ: their commonality as well as contrasting them, try to answer them! Start to think in comparative term and come up with insights to answer these two question. If you think of something, note it down and we will have a class discussion on this. Nabi (hebrew: one who speaks with the authority of another, a prophet is a spokesman of god. Prophet: chosen by god to receive his message and a mission to proclaim his commandments.
