Has prosocial skills (education) to achieve goals (respect: can outgrow criminal personality traits. Lack skills to adopt prosocial alternatives to gain goals (respect, control etc. ) Causes and outcomes: life course persistent (lcp) offender: cause: interaction between vulnerable predisposition and criminogenic environment, maintenance: cumulative developmental forces account for continuity from childhood to adulthood, prognosis: poor, likely to maintain criminal lifestyle well into adulthood. Father had a history of alcoholism and drug arrests, was largely absent during her childhood.
