Parents teach children about dangerous of consuming hazardous substances. Parents teach children the rules and etiquette of the table. Movement from childhood, adulthood, and old-age dietary practices and identities change. Concern with explaining why humans eat some foods and not other from a psychobiological perspective. In contrast to other authors in the development approach, rozin tends to focus on individuals, rather than on social groups. Human- as omnivores, are able to eat a wider variety of foods. Concern with discovering new sources of food. Concern or fear that new food may be harmful or poisonous. Rozin: develops a psychological taxonomy that seeks to explain why some foods are preferred and others avoid. Sensory affective factors: good tastes vs bad tastes.
