Mixolydian, lydian, phrygian, dorian, hypolydian, hypophrygian, hypodorian: ancient greeks had their own modes, hypo = under (usually 4 notes under) Made of three types of tetrachords: diatonic: e f g a, chromatic: e f f# a, enharmonic: e (1/4 e) f a. Based on quarter tones, cannot play on keyboard. Music is useful for education, ritual, and in entertainment and relaxation.
