In nil christie"s conflict as a property nile"s discusses the connection between society and conflicts within industrialized societies. Nil"s claims that in today"s society, parties involved in conflicts easily rely on professionals such as lawyers to solve their conflicts. It is the position of this commentary that one must disagree with christie"s theory. This essay will furthermore discuss the weaknesses and strengths of christie"s view as well as provide examples to support all arguments given. When analyzing the disadvantages of nils"s claim, we bring forward two critics. The first will be the use of lawyers and the advantages of involvement in a conflict. The final point will focus on the order of society, and how such will be at risk if followed through nils"s view. Christie fills his readers in by painting the life of lawyers by a single brush and claiming that lawyers take full possession when involved in any sort of conflict.
