Meaning of photographs can have profound political, social, economic impact. Politicians use images to get our attention, personality of politician speaks, candidates become branded. Photography begins in 1839, jan 7, daguerre unveils it to the french academie des sciences. Prior to this, no way of recording images, other than rich people getting portraits. Now any aspect of life could be captured and rendered perfectly. Almost no action shots because if they moved the photograph would blur. Picture was the first photograph of a person.
