For north america there are accurate sets of maps: at 100ma had mowry sea connected to boreal sea but not tethyan sea, at 85ma western interior sea connected to boreal sea to tethyan sea. Was warm period so did not have a low of ice. Atlantic ocean and causing mid-atlantic ridge to be formed taking up ocean basin space, driving rising sea levels.
