Prereqs for leed: min iaq performance and enviro tobacco smoke (ets) control. Focus on low-emitting materials, then controllability, thermal and daylighing. Ieq strategies: prohibit smoking, ensure adequate venilaion (outdoor air is key, monitor co2 (high co2 results in stale air, causing people to be ired, high eiciency filtraion (remove contaminants from air merv raings) Merv (minimum eiciency reporing value): raing that indicates the eiciency of air ilters in mechanical system. Raings range from 1 (low) to 16 (high eiciency) Low emiing materials (major source of ia contaminants i. e. of-gassing use low voc paint and sealants, etc. Consider contaminants from consumables as well, like cleaners and printers)
