Fossil fuels have a big role in growing the human enterprise (cheap energy) Petroleum also has a huge impact on our life. Agriculture has also increased human population 13-fold. Human population has increased 4-fold due to the widespread use of fossil fuels and petroleum. We know that we may be forced to use less fossil fuel to avoid the risk of climate change. The kyoto debate is about this, and countries were forced to make commitments to reduce co2 emissions but they did not follow through. The easily accessible fossil fuels are being depleted, no longer a reliable source of energy. **population will go up to about 12 billion but then drop to around 6-7 billion and settle . It is because more women in the third world will be educated about birth control and birth rates will decrease drastically.
