Crime sciences ad control (cs-c) theories have specific ways of answering hobbesian question: which informs unique approaches/assumptions about crime. Unlike most criminology cs-c are not concerned with motivations what clarke calls criminal dispositions. Very specific views of human nature; which informs how es-c view the issue of crime: they view crime as non-symptomatic. Human nature both wants more but also fears the repercussions of punishment and having nothing.
