Female rufed grouse spend ime on ground, feathers resemble forest loor and high contrast patern resemble patern of light entering through trees. White-tailed fawn spoty back, mimics forest loor. Gray tree frog bark mimicry: can change color to green to change to tree trunks that are discolored (color change to enhance mimicry) Eastern screech owl comes out during day, camoulages at night.
