Ho(cid:449) differe(cid:374)t (cid:272)o(cid:373)(cid:271)i(cid:374)atio(cid:374)s of i(cid:374)tuitio(cid:374)s gi(cid:448)e rise to different person-concepts: person permanence, our belief that people still exist when we can no longer perceive them. Great for everyday life because people usuall(cid:455) do(cid:374)"t (cid:448)a(cid:374)ish (cid:449)he(cid:374) (cid:455)ou stop seei(cid:374)g the(cid:373). However when they die, part of your mind still expects them to be around. This is why many believe in a afterlife because it still feels like they are around in some sense.
