In canada, in many parts we have a conflict between rural space and urban space, and it plays out in different parts like political ways in canada, and etc. Because the cities in canada are powerful (toronto, etc. ) whorl spaces exist to feed resources for urban areas: this relationship creates an imbalance, headquarters are companies are in urban areas. Rural areas often have environmental problems, are subject to drastic changes. We have a love/hate relationship with rural space: we romanticize the areas of rural, also we see them as backwards and not socially progressive and that they lag behind in culture. Define rural: (cid:498)country : an area outside of cities and towns. Montreal is in many ways a bilingual city. British took over and every since language has been difficult. Majority of the city speak french: but the city is occupied by english, there is a weird tension between the two.
