Exposes the limestone, big diversity of calcific plants. Indicator species- species that find plant/animal only there seasonally. Orchid that loves calcium- lady slipper- sparrows egg-indicator species for hudson bay lowland: willows- grow no bigger than shrubs- common group shrub borders- habitats for insects and birds,wolf-willow, never grow in. Trees- shrubs, ninebark-northern shrub that likes calcium, grows well near river edges. Animals/plant-mapped out where there found-range, range map muskeg-also called silverberry-northern likes calcium. Orange crowned warbler- northern thrive in this habitat. Popolars river edges decidious trees-river edges snowshoe hare- hbl, build habitats they will come seeds extracting seeds from cones-crossbills- white-winged crossbills seeds high number-white winged crossbills-rivers. Limits-farthest north they go northern range limit, south-southern range limit* distribution range.
