Arth1101 the history of art: renaissance to the present. 17th century baroque art & architecture in italy. Finishing off last week high renaissance in italy . With leonardo and michelangelo, he is one of the truly important high renaissance artists working in florence and rome. Generally less liked than leonardo and michelangelo besides the fact he died young, there"s nothing super fascinating about his life. He does demonstrate a high level of renaissance perfection he"s less individualized than the other two, but he"s the perfect ideal. His personality doesn"t come through in his paintings, but he hardly ever makes mistakes.
