The anthropological perspective on the human condition - anthropology and globalization. Idle no more: aboriginal and indigenous standing up for themselves - canadian movement, protest. Standing up for violations of human rights. The anthropological perspective: the cross disciplinary discipline. Economics, political science, sociology, linguistics and psychology and the humanities (art, literature, etc) Focus on human beings as living organisms. Includes paleoanthropology, human biology and variation, and primatology. Focus is on language and the relationship between language and identity; language use in social groups; and language on the move such as transnational migration, social media etc. Focus is on past ways of life. Archaeologists look for artifacts such as pottery (look for meanings on the pottery), how people life in their residences (in rock etc. Focus is on the application of anthropological theories and methods to the solution of everyday problems. E. g. , health policy, refugee supports, forensic investigation.
