Fold, crumple, crush the art of el anatsui- the documentary (by susan vogel: what is so important about this title, el anatsui: born in ghana, lives and works in nigeria (nsukka) for the past 32 years. Thus he believes he still has room for improvement. He has a(cid:374) (cid:862)a(cid:374)ti-(cid:272)o(cid:374)(cid:448)e(cid:374)tio(cid:374)al(cid:863) approa(cid:272)h to(cid:449)ards art. Very tapestry-like work: his art is typically textile based (sewing, bonding, etc)- think of ghanaian kente.
