The effects of global population aging will effect every sphere of life: population aging is occurring for very different reasons in developed and developing countries. Voodoo demography: says the end is near by twisting real statistics in strange way, bad and inappropriate way of using and analyzing statistics, claims overpopulation will make us run out of resources and everyone will die off. Population explosion: 1800: one billion people, 2000 six billion people. Population implosion: young adults migrate to major cities, majority of population concentrated in a few cities. Life expectancy: how long we expect the average person a culture/country to live. Average life expectancy is 80, disability free life expectancy 69, thus can expect to live with a chronic disability for 11 years before they die: regional variations.
