According to our missions and vision, health canada"s goal is for. Canada to be among the countries with the healthiest people in the world. Pneumonia: society decided to treat this illness with everything possible and no longer accepted health care systems to just say he had pneumonia so he died . Why do we no longer accept this? what changed. From 1900-2000"s huge decline in illness from germs/infections and also incline in illnesses caused by lifestyle factors (heart disease, cancer) Used to be able to die from paper cut. Antibiotics and treatments were developed to prevent this. Should we help people with obesity, alcohol, unsafe sex, cigarette smokers, addicts, etc. In 2020, 70% of death in the world will be caused by stroke, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Healthcare providers could avoid most of these deaths with proper nutrition, exercise, and preventative treatments. To achieve goal, health canada relies of high quality scientific research as the basis for our work.
